What do Severance packages look like for HCSC employees?

@fv read your bonus agreement it spells it out about Oct 1, it was 1000% designed to not have to pay those that were let go unfortunately.

@g4 Oooh - “a lawyer” posting on the layoff.com. Seems credible to me. Anyway I consulted Judge Joseph A Wapner and he said you do have a case.

@et Does it say anything about it bonus pay. I mean they are literally keeping a huge chunk of money by not paying out 9 months out of the year we worked. It seems this layoff was planned earlier then we could imagine because that’s the only way PTO rollover (forcing people to keeps wellness days for emergencies and then not paying them out) and Bonus cutoff date moving makes sense. They benefit from both those policy changes in layoffs. Had anyone talked to lawyer do we have a case here.
@et So all of us in clinical operations who recently got changed from salaried to nonexempt hourly lost half of our severance potential??????????
@et So they gave me the minimum and didn’t count my prior service at all…I wonder what pillar this falls under.

Looking over the document, your severance payment depends on your category as follows:
Non-exempt (Non-Union & Union) it is One week of current base pay for every year of service completed subject to a minimum of 4 weeks and a maximum of 30 weeks.
Exempt (Professional and Mid-Professional) Two weeks of current Base Pay for every year of service completed subject to a minimum of 8 weeks and a maximum of 30 weeks.
Executive Management Group (EMG) Two weeks of current Base Pay for every year of service completed subject to a minimum of 12 weeks and a maximum of 40 weeks.
Executive Business Group (EBG) - Two weeks of current Base Pay for every year of service completed subject to a minimum of 16 weeks and a maximum of 52 weeks
@ea I received less than 2 weeks per year and I did not hit a 30 week threshold others have referred to (I don’t know if that’s real but wouldn’t be surprised). I was higher in my salary band so I assume they used whatever excuses they could to pay less. The calculation isn’t outlined, just the number of weeks.
I heard two weeks per year of service. In 2020 it was one month per year of service. They cut everywhere they can even severance.

I think there is a severance policy. I think I remember it’s like 1 week per year.

Basically, you get into an elevator and when it opens you are your severed persona and all you know is work. At the end of the day you get back into the elevator to go home and your work persona goes away and it is your home persona again.

Just stop right there. Not your business, would advise no one share - likely spelled out in agreement.
I also have been curious about this. If someone who were impacted by the recent cuts would respond with details of the comprehensive package (assuming you’re getting more than 2 weeks/year of service), it would be appreciated.
