Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Is it just me??

Anyone else feel the level of disconnect and apathy is just beyond the pale these days?

Case in point, it’s Veteran’s Day is it not?

Used to be we would expect at least an email from the VP or Director acknowledging and thanking the veterans on their teams.

Zero, zip, nada.

WTAF? It would take 5 minutes.

What did you expect. Veterans get 1 day and in some Orgs it’s overlooked. But there is an entire month for Pride and BHM jammed down our throat. Get with the program. People who fought for freedom get a day, maybe. Right @ed+. Try vi&gra.

“ ATT did send multiple emails acknowledging and thanking Veterans this year as they've always done in the past. Period“

Hey dip stick—- you realize there are many different organizations at T right?

In my group , one in CTO under Legg….there were no emails. Nothing. Zip.

So your experience may differ, but don’t speak for the entire company.

@a3
Yes there were multiple emails sent as usual. But it's standard procedure for certain individuals and employees to spread lies and disinformation. Also a lot of these people don't read or can't read.

I am a veteran. I saw no emails regarding Veterans Day. And certainly no mention within my own org.

I don’t think I saw anything but may have missed it. A couple of my external partners are off today. It seems a little odd that a company that markets aggressively to the military would not observe Veterans Day but I guess that sort of thing is to be expected.

OP here. Nothing in my org.

And don’t misunderstand, as a veteran, I don’t need that to get through the day. I am just pointing it out. What kind of “leader” can’t take a minute and send out an email like that?

And to those of you that didn’t serve, and are just talking sm--k, GFY. Pathetic.

This company is not what it used to be. It’s a shell of that. Leadership doesn’t care about you or anything anymore other than meeting expenses reductions each quarter.

We got an email. Friends of mine at other companies got the day off. But seriously, don’t expect anything. I’m a veteran and could care less. Just another day at the office.

Got multiple Veterans Day emails. Maybe your feelings are so severely hurt because you have to work in an office? It's blinded you to everything.
