Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

@s6 we were informed global would be impacted last Friday.

Were these just in the US or were there redundancies globally too? Sorry to anyone impacted

Karma only takes about 10 years. The people in the wake of BB’s torment and manipulation can finally begin to heal.

I’m frankly surprised there were more layoffs in EA. Aren’t they already operating with a skeleton crew? In seven years their workforce was cut from around 750 down to what now must less than 300 people?

What exactly is going on in East Aurora?

There are still a few that need to go. And you will be able to tell because they will be working overtime to kiss ynots star anise.

@bh nah, while some were shocking, they finally made the right choice in at least one case, although 5+ years too late.

They did make some horrific creative choices

@at i was let go in march but i just heard they let most execs on nad go as well….

It seems some failed management and principal designers got hit but they did miss some that should have went.

@ar actually i care about my former colleagues. I'm not here to sh-t on anyone. Curious yes. But I'd feel sad if upper management stays as usual and the hardworking get affected. Congrats on assuming wrong!

@OP get a hobby or go do some work. People getting laid off are not going to fill your pathetic tea pot.
