There are a lot of rumors that upper leadership has stated that SLC will be displacing the QA deptments end of June possibly the end of 3rd quarter in Sept. Its also been said that most of SLC will be gone before 2027. Any truth to this?

Yes, highly likely that SLC is the next Portland. Consolidation, then grinding down what's left until it's just a few stragglers with friends in high places. Then the final blow eventually comes. FHY.
@f1 if you mean moving ops to the tower? No, all of Ops will be laid off. Not much left will be moving downtown. WIM has a decent pop that will move the rest are just one offs really.
There are two locations out near SLC Int'l Airport and the tower at 299 S Main St. I'm guessing that the two airport locations will be closing with operations consolidating uptown?
Not closing before 2027, but in 2027. Maybe even first half
See that, it is working, create enough rumors and it makes it much easier to get your agenda flying when "any truth to this" statements become the norm.
Kudos
Salt Lake City is not a core market. Why is this news or shocking to anyone?
SLC = Salt Lake City
@aq I know, like you know what does SLC even mean? I don't get it
Wow, do these nifty little acronyms make a particular industry feel more important or intelligent than they really ARE ?
ROTH
I know that Fraud & Claims Management notified SLC employees their jobs were being displaced a few months ago. To the best of my knowledge their 60-day notice won't happen until either Q4 of this year, potentially Q1 of next year. Management is keeping exact details close to the vest.
They are selling both ICB and COB. Anyone left will go to the tower and there won't be many left.
Pretty much what I've heard. The horses and wagons are being put out in pasture.
