It's fine. Pull up your boot straps and fill up your tank as you drive to work, sign that new contract for 250 dollars more a month for your apartment, and tell your husband it will all work out. Stop crying and be happy you still have a job, at least you're making enough for healthcare and groceries.

@f3 maybe they just had enough and found other jobs, if you canz you should, why wait around in emotional toil, doesn't make much sense

@f0 Does that mean they were let go ~2 months ago? Or are these non WHQ people?

DAI got some org-wide email blasts from PE's/DE's leaving last week too, but obviously those were "voluntary"

@ej This weekend is when all of those let go but left on payroll are getting officially terminated. There is little incentive to advertise you were let go while you are still on payroll as it gives you better bargaining power when looking for another job to still be "employed"

The trainings have happened every year in Spring since RTO. And everyone gets told to WFH anyway.

I get the anxiety. The waiting fu--ing su-ks. But they straight up said in Earnings, legally bound to shareholders, that supply centers were the largest reorg impact this FY. They're just going to ki-l a few toy project teams and be done with it.

@ej standard pattern we've seen in the past

both converse and ams were taking down to about a dozen remaining, pretty intense considering how long and seemingly well those locations operated

so likely a big reduction at whq, given that, big push to itc.....good news for the itc employees, not good for everyone else!

@eh bingo

Recent exits on LinkedIn are likely those that were given an option to stay but only if they took a lower role, or a lateral functional move. They have to do these first to setup the next play. It’s going to be Oracle like this time guys.

I’m starting to see LinkedIn updates.. is anyone else? I can imagine it’s starting at a higher level slowly and will trickle down.

Get used to it, Nike is a bloated company with no direction & a bleak future. The ONLY thing that set Nike apart was the marketing & brand. The brand isnt cool anymore and the marketing has gone into the tank. Take the time while you have a job to find another one before you get that cold hearted Outlook invite from your manager, only to be joined by an HR rep so they can read you the script & lock you out of the system.

Most likely after the PHK dedication.

You know a big layoff is coming when they send out a Workplace Violence Prevention Training. Be on the lookout for that. It has preceded the big ones before.

Next week? Possibly. More likely mid to late April like before.
