@ez

  • jan01-jan31: 1604 layoffs, and 1834 additions (based on Slack regular tracking)
  • dec01-dec31: 1031 layoffs, and 844 additions (based on Slack regular tracking)
  • nov01-nov30: 1614 layoffs, and 1327 additions (based on Slack regular tracking)
  • oct01-oct31: 2504 layoffs, 1762 additions (based on Slack regular tracking)
  • sep02-sep30: 6275 layoffs, 861 additions (based on Slack regular tracking)

@cv Down from the all time high of $340+ $175 it's hardly a comeback.

@cv well, wasn't it above $200 back in January? Telling it will reach the stratospherically high of $175 is... insulting.

@gb Oracle doesn’t go back and fix tech debt that’s why their software quality su-ks. And management thinks they know how to do software development when they are really creating a dumpster fire feature factory.

Ya gotta love the bootlicking bozos on this comment board actually dismissing the obvious upcoming layoffs as nothing more than lies. Hope these bozos are the next to go.

I suspect it may be happening quietly in small amounts across the org. Just received an email that someone I assigned a bug to was "end dated" today and then heard the entire team was let go. Small team in OCI that used to be in the db org.

20% sometime in march. If your manager is taking off that time that is a sign.

Layoffs starting next Friday. Oracle stock sinks to 120. OpenAI panics do to Anthropic and Deepseek. Nvidia reverses even more funding.

Old predictions are not wrong. It will happen eventually. Remember Oracle has to show revenue in addition to cost cutting. It can’t layoff massively and rehire high cost employees. There will be reorgs in addition to layoffs.
March 10th, 11 and 12th will give clear picture of Oracle directions. But Oracle stock prices will rise soon to 175. Let’s wait
