I heard sales people will be targeted as per previous treads but will managers from different departments will be too?

@qc with management it’s one big game of “not it” and where no one is rowing in the same direction. Management would need to completely change there ways in order for the company to work efficiently.
Opentext is highly inefficient, there really should only be 10K or less employees to support the declining revenue of 5B
@h6 our new leader is HAL
@h5 Yay, more IBM retreads. IMB, you BM, we all BM for IBM.
Seriously though, it can't get worse, right? Right?!?
I’m sure Ayman will change the management structure entirely and implant some of his former IBM co-workers into management roles (replacing some of the old timers here who let Mark run wild).
OT routinely lays off in June and July...in 2023, 2024 and 2025. I personally know people that were laid off in all 6 of these time frames.
To your point they also lay off (large round) typically Q3.
The change in Leadership and strategy will only accelerate layoffs. I wouldn't even rely on any prior historic pattern now.
OT will keep laying off until the headcount matches their new slimmed down Strategic vision, all planned divestitures are done and they are not supporting TSA's of divested business units.
Sadly this is what happens when a Board leaves an incompetent CEO in place far too long.
@ey Every year they do layoff. In 2023 it was done in April (2000) to be exact it was 18 April there was no not major one in June or July same year. In 2024 it was in July 1st week 1200 there was no impact during Mar or Apr. Again in 2025 it was in April 1600 not in Jun or July. This year again in March 900 to 1000. They do it every either in Mar / Apr / July. Not same year in Apr and June / July. Not sure how do you come up with the story. This year we might not have or have something in June. No one knows expect the EVP and Chariman. So have your data and speak , simply don’t spread negativity and cause a headache for everyone. As per the pattern they might another around starting next year and small rounds which usually happens every Quarter
When people say 'no more layoffs this year'..as we all know this means thru the end of June.
OT for the last 3 years has had a layoff the first week in July..as soon as the ink is dry on the fiscal year close.. It takes months to plan a layoff..they are working on June (for some) and July. The list is likely already circulated, the victims identified (although in my experience people can be taken off the list or new ones added up to the week prior).
The point is more are coming in the next 10 to 12 weeks. The best thing to do to ease your anxiety is prepare, financially and emotionally.
List is already made for the beginning of July. There will definitely be layoffs.
I have also heard no more layoffs. The company is returning to growth and keeping everyone they have
@cr Incorrect
No more layoffs. I just spoke to trustworthy person. Enjoy your time guys
@as obviously , not even a single useless director, sr director , VP and SVP will be impacted . Only working bees will be sc--wed again.
OT will probably pull a fast one and make the minimum number of direct reports 30 plus.
If it got rid of some of the pond life masquerading as Management then it could be a blessing in disguise.
@ab nope, there are no layoffs for MGMT
All the middle managers
Yes, big hit coming for leadership in all business units.
I have heard there are no more layoffs this year
