VRP - September 26th

Hi everyone - just curious if anyone else at Cigna signed the VRP and has already been given their departure date. I was told today mine is 9/26 - anyone else joining me on that date?

Wait to see what it looks like when all is said and done vs how it was originally communicated. Company isn’t being entirely truthful to anyone about their intent. 9/27 is the date for everyone who accepted the deal, but not communicating to the “retiree” until early September (super shady); even though the original communication gave multiple dates as options. A manager can request extension, but most will be denied AND you have to have solid justification and ELT approval to backfill. Ever. Not just delayed to Q1 to cook the books for end of year. Half of these roles will be gone completely… until sh*t stops getting done and clients are impacted. Then they’ll hire and act like they’re shocked that remaining employees are overwhelmed. This is the tip of the iceberg.

@OP I was told today by a manager that we would not be informed until first week of Sept. I do know my manager put in for an exception to keep me around until a later date but I am prepared for 9/26 either way!! Let’s Go!

Curious - how was that date communicated to you?
I accepted the VRP as well but have yet to hear anything else.

Congratulations! It may have something to do with closing out Q3 with a desire to show a lower headcount so 9/26 may be the main default date if there is not a compelling reason to push the date out. Best of luck.
