What do you suggest to east the anxiety?

If you don’t have at least 1 interview per day scheduled during wellness ( don’t pay contractors ) week, you’re doing it wrong. RUN! NOW!
@ev No, that's not true, last re-org Director level were let go, they received severance package, that is it.
One caveat though is if they fire you, they can't hire anyone, specifically ETW, for the same role, coz in EMEA you are not downsizing the person, you are downsizing a role
If they indeed do that, the person who is fired can sue the company
the point is you can't be abruptly terminated in EMEA. They have to give something like 6 months warning.
@ep Layoffs doesn't spare anyone if you are unlucky, sudden unemployment is still a burden when you have family to feed and mortgages to pay.
The government of the country can only do so much !
A post complaining about the extremely generous employment protections afforded by their country is just wild.
Don’t focus your energy on things you can’t control. Nothing good can come from it.
