Optimizing DL Roles with AI Efficiency

The new AI visit tool is effectively handling much of the DL's workload. As a result, we could expand the number of stores per district, and downsize the number of DLs in the FS by at least one or two per region. The payroll savings from this reduction could be reinvested into increasing hours in the FS, where actual customer-facing work occurs.

Can it be used to release LD's instead of DL's?

@ec I mean great but in that case I guarantee you corporate’s response is “we just took away a bunch of work, why would you need more hours?” Don’t shoot the messenger lol

@ch , it has the additional impact of eliminating all the bs non-value activities required by out of touch leadership.

Ok so everyone knows that any AI "improvements" are only gonna be used to cut more hours from the stores. Why do you think the ACO's came with hours cuts (like 30 hours per ACO), and they also showed up like employees in the system? That said, CVS has way too many levels of middle management. How about we cut some of them? How much field leadership do we really need? Now how store operating hours? Do we really need stores open at 6 or 7am and open till 10, 11, or 12 at night?? I'm willing to bet that the majority of stores are profitable only from 9am-9pm. Outside of those hours not so much. So reduce front store hours of operation, and reduce the amount of field leaders, and then take those cost savings to beef up the stores.

Wouldn’t have the impact you’d think. High level let’s say a fs dl makes 125k annually / 52 weeks is about 2400/week. Divide by 17 per hour for fs employee is 141 hours per week that can be used divide by 35 stores in the district means each store gets about 4 more hours a week. That’s if you eliminate basically all the fs dls (which would also mean less opportunity for promoting people)
