Is anyone hearing insights on “flattening” the redundant CTB CTV and GSP roles in particular WH (western hemisphere). Seems like other areas are flattening and going back to pre-merch like transformations. Others have said that Bills pyramid will not be touched but that doesn’t seem plausible

@ea Every company and field has acronyms. They aren't unique to Target.
Hard to say. They added all of those roles because that’s what Bill did at Nike, but there are a lot of redundancies and poorly organized orgs across OB. I am very curious to see if GSP is impacted. That’s an org that could be much more impactful with better leadership.
CTV? CTB? GSP? Target still loves their acronyms — same story 11 years ago. At my current job, we also have a 'Western Hemisphere' team and made big bets on moving sourcing to Mexico, but yeah… that has not panned out yet
I don’t think it’s safe to say Bill’s pyramid won’t be touched at all. BUT, Owned Brands has been hit with a lot of small layoffs for the past couple of years and there are quite a few recently posted
open roles in OB right now… so that’s something to consider.
