When they closed the Arizona location, I was among those who got laid off.
Paycheck Pals short-changed me on my severance pay and unused vacation.
Unfortunately, I wasn't willing to spend $500 in legal fees to challenge it.

Layoffs in Calgary had nothing to do with race. People across all backgrounds were let go, but a lot of high performers were laid off with excuses that had nothing to do with their actual performance - someone just has to be at the bottom.

I guess that’s the nature of things when you work for a company that has a culture of layoffs. 1-2 per year is a culture. Stop lying to yourselves. CEO gets a 35 mil raise, record profits, but layoffs hmmm…

I was let go in NYC and I gotta say, I feel terrible for some that were not let go. They got moved to various groups with poor leadership and no knowledge, and now have more work to do with no guidance and are crapping in fear.

The thing that gets me is that some people needed to be let go but weren't. I mean they are real bad and some good people with high performance were let go. I know that fing 360 is bad real bad. If people want you to leave then they will make you leave.

I'm a white male tech ist and made it through this time, understand the frustration and anger but hate and inflammatory comments are not the only response, legal options, reach out to friends and family. India was effected and there are many hard working an brilliant developers there and also seniors that are discriminated against.

Of course the cuts disproportionately effect white men because we work in a sea of white men who are disproportionately represented. If we want more people with protected characeristics to share the pain then we have to hire them in the first place. So community against low empathy corporate narcissists over us turning on each other. And yes... I am discriminating against brutal self obsessed senior corporate narcissits...

Most of the people laid off today are white men . Blatant racisim and race based layoff i have ever seen in my career . All Indians managers in WMT are laying off high performing white man while saving their own very mediocre Indian developers . This is blatent use case of Indian neptosim in American corporations in technology department .If you are affected by it hope you are planning to sue the firm .
