Accept/reject doesn't matter anyways, its just a way for dell to accelerate mediation decision in their favor. Either seek a lawyer or accept. I tried this not accepting for almost a quarter, did nothing. Mgmt didn't care.
I have spent decades getting gaslit by the best of dell sales mgmt on quota. Never have i ever seen disputing quota or not signing the letter serve to lower your quota.
Sales people are replaceable. Why do you think turnover is so high at every vendor?
If you don't accept, no commission payout until you accept it.
lol you have no leverage. Reject it and they will just find some other schmo to sell this cr-p.
What purpose does it serve to reject it? Do you want to get paid or not lol... It may be a bs CSP but do you genuinely think that Dell gaf if you accept/reject it or not? More people than not will accept it and those who don't will likely be up first for layoffs/PIP's/getting fired.
I mean, it's not like you can negotiate a company wide quota standard or anything... You either take it or you don't. If you don't then you are just cheap labor for Dell at the end of the day. You'll still do your job for that paycheck but won't get much more than that.
Y’all stop being so damn scared to reject the quota. They will resend it and in most cases it forces management to have a conversation with you that they try to avoid. If everyone did it, it would send them into a panic and would send a clear F you message to leadership. I don’t know why anyone is worried about getting paid because we’re not getting paid anyways!! Wake TF up!
@e5 I’ve worked across industry, I’m not scared of the job market. Paying me 6 figures to hit the bricks is like paying Charlie Sheen to hit the bag.
I will feel a twinge of schadenfreude when the guy who told everyone to ‘hit the bricks’ ends up on the next layoff list. Lol
@dj How much is Dell paying you to try to squelch negative sentiment about this stupid SCP Plan?
Hit the bricks, as you like to say...
@dj you really are an irritating knob jockey
@ax you just don’t get your draw. Boohoo. Reject it’s the only leverage you have. Then it starts becoming your managers problem and it rolls up the chain
@de Because that’s your problem not Dell’s. Lesson learned the hard way, now hit the bricks
What’s so wrong about being disappointed with the company you have been loyal to, given your all, contributed to the company growth, taken home some commission. To now being told the company is doing really well, revenue and shares are up, but we’re now making it more difficult for you, the percentage to dollar we did pay-out, was us being to generous.
Sure seems to be a lot of propaganda and sanctimonious lecturing here suddenly from execs and so-called "sales leadership" desperately tying to squelch the anger and frustration over this forced attrition SCP Plan.
Ex Dell manager here. I used to get 5-10% rejects every sales period.
Most of it was due to clarifying which accounts were in the plan (no longer an excuse due to new tools)
Occasionally, I would get a reject as a protest, but it was generally from the same kind of team member, who was just frustrated, angry and not a top performer.
In the current company, probably not a good move.
rejecting your commission as a form of protest is something. youre directly giving money to the cause youre fighting? what effect do you expect that to have exactly?…just hit the bricks
Every year the situation deteriorates further. It’s genuinely disappointing and increasingly hard to take seriously.
Absolute sh--e company, glad I left early, i saw the writing on the wall and luckily got severance. Good luck to you all, my advice mass protest and don’t go to work. F*** that place
@ax you have a few weeks.
I’m not accepting this BS. I’ll tell you why….i don’t even work for dell. I just smash it for the competition and drive a lambo. So…su-k it
when did this become the 'let's complain about sales' site.
I’ve accepted. Declining your plan is the most hilarious form of protest and only benefits the company which you all complain about.
Guys, there are other jobs out there. Stop blaming Dell for all your problems and hit the bricks if you don’t like the way you’re treated
I want them to explain how they got to that number. Which is way, way more than the account base has ever delivered. Customers budgets haven’t increased in line with the price hikes or stayed as is. Being told some will postpone projects. I’ve always been a competent, hard-worker who got the job done. This target isn’t “we know by doing even more you can achieve”. More “you’re clever enough to know what we’re doing, doors over there”.
I was told if you do not accept you do not get paid at all. What my manager told me anyways.
I rejected it. I’m sure it won’t matter, but it felt good hitting that reject button.
who cares.
People acting like they aren't going to accept. You might get a week in, but no longer. As soon as the boss calls and says you need to sign this, you will sign.
Not accepting this b.s
Not accepting.
