Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

The one thing they can't take from you

They can take your time, your energy, and your sanity if you let them. But they can't take your dignity unless you hand it over. When you leave, whether it's your own choice or not, walk out with your head high. Don't give them the satisfaction of seeing you defeated. This place was an American icon once, and arrogance tore it down, but that doesn't mean you have to leave in pieces.

I understand why they do it (lawsuits) but reading from a script is very impersonal and those who spent years of their life at The Swoosh deserved better.

@a9 well that and you can also thank them for doing a tough job. Reading that term message can be tough. Same for the HR person. So, tell them you appreciate their professionalism. I did.

@OP No company is satisfied about having to lay off employees. It’s just business. You are the one making it personal and that’s what you should have said.

The problem is AI. What was once a great company has been taken over and ruined by AI (All Incompetent) leadership whose ranks are filled with AI (All Indians)
