Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Severance Payments

does anyone know when severance is paid? is it on your final paycheck or does it come after? if it comes after, how much longer after? how long until accelerated stock vesting takes effect? doesn't seem like any of this was answered in the faq

@e0+1k41f4rvb Are you a reporter?! No one is working after their notice date. Last day is 60 days from notice date to avoid WARN

@dx just curious, because your last paycheck was July, were you expected to give KT or handover to anyone after they told you about layoffs??
I apologize if the question sounds insensitive, I don't mean that at all, I am just curious.

I was among the May 15th batch of layoffs. I signed my severance paperwork the day after it came out in mid-June. My last paycheck on the Nike payroll was July 25th, and the severance arrived on August 8th.

If this holds true for other batches of layoffs, the severance comes 2 weeks after the final paycheck, assuming that you signed your paperwork in a timely manner.

"Severance will generally be paid in a single lump sum no later than thirty (30) days after the participant’s 7-day revocation period for a signed Separation and Release Agreement has passed without revocation or the participant’s termination date, whichever is later."

Depends on your last day. I think your paperwork will say it’s generally within xx days of your final day. Note your notice day is not your final day. Your last day is generally 60 days from your notice day and I think severance is like 30 days from that (max) but usually ends up being 10 or so. It’s separate from your final check, sometimes, depending on date timing again of when checks are cut. If you have questions, there is a special Hr email for that

Should be on the 5th for the June people.
(Not sure why someone would down vote this on a LAYOFF BOARD?)
