Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Advisor Gateway

Advise Gateway is a J O K E! Craven is a joke. SG is a joke. Let’s push MLI’s, which will blow up at sone point , because we make more money on them. Oh yeah, let’s push Alternative Investments because we make more money on them. REG BI and KYC be damned. Jimmy you are the master at national sales.

Advisor gateway took something on smartstation that took 1-2 clicks to find info and turned it into a ridiculously multiple step prices with a dozen tabs open. Will slow productivity incredibly. Designed for the field not home office processing.

@dz sure, you give up some upside on the profits.In order for some guaranteed principle and/or guaranteed interest.

We're not talking, putting your entire portfolio in one.

And these are being sold to really rich people with an army of legal advisors. As I said, you can create the position yourself synthetically, but these have tax advantages.

@OP you seemed to have transitioned your trolling from the LI ML to Craven to Advisor Gateway to now products. Keep it coming.

@dz same with options too though. Just like any product, they aren't for everyone.

I will give you that AG is a joke. The whole layout of it su-ks.
As for MLI’s they are not for everyone. Alts offer more than just commodities and real estate.

@bx
Market-linked investments (like market-linked CDs and structured notes) are highly complex, expensive, and often sold deceptively. They typically cap your maximum profits, strip away dividends, and tie up your money with severe early-withdrawal penalties.

MLIs are Market Linked Investments? Earn the max of the SP500 return or a coupon % on your deposit. Why would they blow up (any more than the stock market itself may blow up). I am not rich enough to invest in these, but I see the advantages, especially the tax ones. You could DIY this in your own brokerage account with some collars, but the collars have tax downsides and a lot of schedule D paperwork.

Alternatives (gold, real estate..) have a place in everyones portfolio (didnt they teach you about diversification?)
