Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Think they'll wrap up this round by the end of the week?

We know so little. The dread is unbearable.

The stock price is down to what $56 +/-. they have to do something. I would have thought selling parts of the company off would be on the agenda. Eventually, it is going to happen.

@a9 Dread to be let go.
I'm getting close to retirement and do not want to hit the job market. Even though this Fiserv is not the one I enjoyed years ago, I know this job and I know these (remaining) people. I don't want to start over somewhere else.

So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.

I have eight different bosses right now... So that means that when I make a mistake, I have eight different people coming by to tell me about it."

Human beings were not meant to sit in little cubicles staring at computer screens all day, filling out useless forms and listening to eight different bosses drone on about about mission statements.

You should only be worried if you’re rated as a low performer. But, that’s the case at any company. Nothing new here.

The more they do this the worse it gets for those still here. Way past the tipping point if u ask me. Oh they will rehire…sure and even if you do how long before they are up and running.

Dread that you will be let go? Or dread that you will stay behind?

Fiserv has how many employees? There were 38,000 in 2024. Cut 10% of that and that would be a news story no?

@a1 if most managers had to give a needs improvement, thats not far off 10%

People were saying there would be a 15-20% cut in workforce but if that was the case it would be news worthy. I guess they are only cutting people who had a “Needs Improvement” rating or on PIP so not that many laid off?
