Can confirm layoffs under the VUE business. A few people from my team, and a bunch from other teams. Some VPs and directors.

I was kept for now; however, my workload has increased 30%.

Layoffs through the end of the week. Project Managers and Content Developers impacted. Severance terrible. The most I have heard of is 8 weeks severance for over 20 years of work. Shame.

@nw I have been here less than two years; it depends on time here and the state laws. I am also in a state with few protections, so they are allowed to give virtually nothing - hence, no PTO paid out.

@py they usually aren't supposed to. Also the company has been trimming about 7% of employees annually in recent years.

if this was real someone would say what department or teams being let go.

They are paying PTO but it's accrued time off and not your full yearly amount.

@n1 one weeks pay? How many years of service? Sounds like most are getting 6 weeks

I am in U.S higher Ed and was laid off today. The severance is six weeks. Layoffs will continue through the end of the week.

Can confirm layoffs in US. One week notice. Severance is one weeks pay. No PTO pay out. Curiously parallel to a partnership overseas where they can pay workers a fraction of our salaries. Job postings have been opened for some roles in that country.

I haven’t heard of any layoffs in US Higher Ed

I can confirm. I was laid off today, January 12th, 2026, after 20 years of service, along with another coworker who has 17 years of service. They claim they are restructuring their entire company. They've also reduced their severance package.

No details. I call BS. Just sounds like the usual fear mongering.

Several people in marketing were laid off today, including marketing managers and graphic designers.
