Thread regarding IBM layoffs

IBM stock down 40 points in 9 days

Told you so. 2-2-26 $315. 2-11-26 $275. Stay away. Stay far far away.

A putrid odor fills the air,
A scent of ruin and despair,
Like rotten eggs and old, wet trash,
It hits the nose with sudden crash.
It lingers in the stagnant room,
A heavy, green, and choking gloom,
That makes you gag and hold your breath,
A foul scent, mimicking death.

All tech stocks are down a lot. MSFT lost $100+. They will all recover at some point including IBM.

This cr-p about AI ki-ling software companies is just a joke.

IBM share price ended the day at $259.50. It got punished for its false claim about AI.
Other tech companies got punished to a lesser level about their inflated claims concerning AI.
Now, that the IBM AI claim is busted, what else can the id1ot Indian at the top claim to be IBM advantage ? ZERO ....

@dq and that trickles to other companies. GF will copy IBMs copy and it just gets more watered down and worse each copy of a copy

Everything will be fine. Arvind is a competent CEO. You haters always doubt him. Same with Jim K

Nobody is a better financial steward than him

As long as IBM is led by East-coast mentality, it will flounder. People like RT read a book about the mentality of West-coast tech innovators and just don’t get it. But then they try and apply general trends like clock speed, create urgency, don’t think - do, etc., and don’t have the underlying principles to make it culture. So direction changes often and workers are left scrambling to try and execute in the direction of the day.

Worth watching the tumble, at $264.00 right now, expecting it to get LOWER.

@dh and the IBM stock price just keeps on dropping like a brick through a plate glass window. Where is the crook Cramer to buoy it up with his false and pretentious statements ? No sign of Alvind or Krabanaugh either to give us the latest news on upskilling, AI and Quantum either.

Definitely jitters over Kyndryl. But also the market getting nervous that Arvind's slash and burn and send to India strategy is unsustainable and once the new Z cycle winds down growth will be back to 1-2% if it's even positive at all. IBM's business does not justify a $300 or even $200 valuation. Nothing fundamentally changed from 18 months ago when the stock was $150.

@a6 yes the future looks bright for everyone but the IBM shareholders with this blossoming Kyndryl scandal. Alvind and Krabanaugh would never look more handsome or dapper than when dressed up in those bright flaming orange jumpsuits on their way to jail. Not to mention they'll become some gangsters girlfriends, once they get behind bars.

Where is the Indian clown at the top to boast AI and quantum computing ?

I believe IBM has caught a case of Kyndryl flu. Folks are worried that IBM and other service providers (accenture, etc etc) have doctored their accounting for low margin services engagements. IBM spun all of that off to Kyndryl, but the Kyndryl financial practices were born under IBM management and that may have a very long tail

There once was Big Blue, cool and calm,
With Arvind at helm, steady as balm.
With Kavanaugh’s eye,
On the numbers held high,
IBM’s fine—no need for alarm.
