I’ve been hearing rumors of layoffs - that it was supposed to happen in September, then October (but still nothing) and I also heard December. Does anyone know when?

@141 is manager feedback basically step at which names finalized? December 1 terminations?
@14s you nailed that one
@14s how would anything drown out any leaks...?
They probably need to file WARN notice anyway?
Tomorrow is the day..... new logo release to drown out any possible leaks.
@q6 production sites or just warehouse sites?
Will be happening in December. Email just sent out this afternoon for Performance Management self input opening on 11/3 and closing on 11/28. Manager feedback opens on 11/29
You need better sources. Ridiculous.
I heard that PEP is going to file chapter 11 on November 12 and everyone is getting layed-off
I agree. There’s a reason this thread has 4500 views. It’s a topic many people care deeply about. We can vent in the future, but right now let’s focus on what that future looks like
Please, enough with the cows, buffalo, toxic environment, stay, go. If know something about the topic great, please share. If not, please post to another sits where you can vent. A lot of people are just trying to figure out what is actually going to happen with their careers.
@sv you definitely have the "cow" mentality living in fear of the approaching storm, you seriously need to adopt the "Buffalo" mentality and be proactive and charge into the storm head-on and try to control the situation instead of desperately trying cling to a seriously failing toxic organization and thinking that this is all you want/need to do for the rest of your career because it's the status quo and in your comfort zone. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way anymore in 2025.
@sv I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. While yes, it's not a buyer's market, there are still many great jobs out there if you do a couple of things.
Don't overhype your PepsiCo career. While PepsiCo experience is good to have, it doesn't carry the weight it used to. It's the same overseas people who made PepsiCo toxic who are running other companies.
You probably need to take a pay cut in the beginning to get in, and then you start making more money. Not everyone goes into a new job making 20-30% more than they did at PepsiCo.
You need to su-k up your PepsiCo ego and look for something to just get out of here. Sorry to have to step on your PepsiCo pride and career, but it's the truth.
The “once you get laid off your life will be so much better because you won’t work for a toxic company” comments are not helpful.
I don’t know if you all have looked around and touched grass lately, but especially for corporate, there are not job opportunities out there right now. I’m not sure of any industry that is hiring well paid corporate jobs right now. Therefore, however ‘toxic’ PepsiCo is, I think we all like getting a paycheck.
@q6 tags along with the refranchizing of bottling they'll probably announce in December along with layoffs. Full package of everything Elliott asked for.
After franchises back out, new franchisee runs the bottling lean and cuts more. Then HQ Plano and Purchase cut anyone supporting.
All coming together.
Details? Another company hired by PepsiCo comes in and runs the entire warehouse business at each location. It’s already happening at some of the largest locations and will likely be coming to a location near you very soon
@n5 are sales teams in scope? Retail, foodservice, large accounts?
Elliott usually wants to shrink all the sales organizations
Bloated HQ for sure, but sales coverage likely to get cut?
@p9 how can a 3rd party run the WH can you give the details
Correct downsizing for PepsiCo is not new and has become more frequent every year. If you’re new to the company I pity you. This was once a great fun business to be in. Once PepsiCo cut routes to allow them to grow…interesting concept. Now we don’t give the routes enough time to get the job done right. Unfortunately we are still on a downward trajectory with not the proper leadership to turn it around. Cuts are coming in December and it’s going to be ugly.
@n8 thank you. Pepsi is still doing their payroll. It will shift soon. It’s been centralized. It’s crazy
Just reading these comments it's like people at PEP seem to think that downsizing and restructuring at the Holidays is something new. It's an American tradition that millions of other people have lived through for decades and the vast majority have ended up in a much better situation professionally and personally. Once you are away you'll realize what a dysfunctional and poorly managed company PEP is and what it has done to you. Your only regret will be that you didn't leave sooner. Look forward and leave the toxic culture in the past. Don't look back.
There’s going to be Pepsi and Frito work being done by one person…….not sure of who and how. That’s what we’re all waiting to hear. All warehouses will be run by 3rd party, and merchandisers. It’s going to be massive or as Ram would call it, a big swing.
It’s going to be a rough December. Not sure why we end people’s careers right before the holiday season?
Once the OHS closes today much more will become visible because it won't affect anything anymore! You all can be disgruntled for a whole year before it matters again! People know what's coming it will just be a matter of time before they are comfortable releasing that info!
Chips and soda on the same truck, less buildings, less people.
Ram said that we have too many outdated buildings.
Third party will run the buildings.
@nv can you elaborate ?
The split of warehouse, delivery and sales is setting the stage for the next reorg. 1NA.
@mt are they planning to restructure the frontline in beverages division? Just asking because we just restructured 6 months ago.
@n6 Frito payroll admins, now 16 of us left. It is only a matter of time that the rest of us are let go. I went from 2 zones to 6. Now teaching managers how to do position changes. Soon they will probably be entering those on myservices. once they do that, not much left for me to do.
@bd what payroll? Frito? A location? Or the centralized payroll ?
Hearing the same and it’s going to be big!
December, restructuring
Let’s try and keep this tread open to credible info on reorg / layoffs going forward. That’s what’s important for everyone to know and there’s people that know and can comment anonymously.
@e2 This place is no longer about taking leadership. It's all about who you know...who you're related to....where you're from. They couldn't give a flip about your leadership!
@dd is it usually immediate or they file warn notice and term people end of the year?
I do have to say that I had a buffalo T-Bone years ago and it was the best tasting meat in my opinion. Hope everything does not go towards buffalo burgers. That would be a shame.
@dn be proactive and demonstrate courageous leadership by adopting the Buffalo mentality and charge head first into that meat grinder !
Seeing OHS participation is really low this year? Wonder why?
It's most definitely coming. You can hear the buffalo meat grinder warming up.
Yeah I’m hearing coming in two weeks like first week of November but not sure at all what areas or functions
Layoffs and reorgs are the one constant at this company. Between now and end of February you will see multiple layoffs. These will just continue as more jobs are offshored and buildings are closed.
