Is a selling lead a manager without the pay? Why don’t they just call the position a selling manager? Any input would be helpful

@14m—— that is very true.
Any position with “lead” “key holder” “captain” “ambassador” or “department head” avoid those jobs, those titles are usually used in low paying retail and fast food jobs.
basically a regular associate who has a key to the store and gets to do some of the managers job without the pay, not a position anyone with any sense would want.
@dg eliminated them bc they don't want salaried employees in stores, cant flex payroll up and down with salary like you do hourly leads
Belk corporate realized most of the floor managers were lazy and eliminated that position.
Yes.
Cutting back salaried managers. Its a keyholder position usually but you wont directly manage people.
Probably get a solid $0.25 pay raise, too.
