Company is so desperate for money that they are closing the Bethpage office Sept 22 to Sept 28, to rent out the parking lot for fan parking for the golf Ryder Cup.

If you are going to have the ego that PD has in the business world better have the intellect to go with it. PD clearly does not. Like most of us I had never heard of this guy until the Suddenlink and Cablevision acquisition 10 years ago so I started researching him on the internet and I found that every single article I read on him questioned his intellect and integrity. I printed one in particular that I still have that predicated with nearly 100% accuracy how things would play out now that he had acquired cable systems in the U.S.
Well maybe Altice will be able to make money renting parking spaces. They damn sure can’t make money in the CATV industry.
@df they don’t own the Riverhead building, it’s leased. Only thing important in there is the headend on the third floor which can be moved right across the street in the building they already own and is already a headend. The Riverhead office is a huge expenditure for a place that has maybe a total of 15 people.
how does the union protect you when they close your building.
bound to happen in the 76 eventually considering that building is rented
Desperate is not the word. They’re also shutting down the riverhead office for all field service use to probably sell or rent out the building. And that’s supposed to be a sign of growth and prosperity within the company… disgusting what it’s come down to.
Altice/Optimum- The Dollar Store of the broadband industry.
I guess they couldn't make enough money trying to sell overpriced merchandise to employees that also advertises the company. I remember when the company gave employees free stuff. What's next? They gonna put meters out in the parking lot for employees to pay for parking? I'm surprised we still have toilet paper in the bathrooms. We gonna have to pay altice for toilet paper or bring our own?
Maybe we need to start a gofundme for Altice. Dennis needs another big bonus this year.
As someone who works at a supplier for them, I am hardly surprised they are doing this.
