Everything is urgent. Cost is all incompassioning. Technical engineering excellence is non existent and unimportant. Add more trackers and layers of weak yes men management.

Just remember - these deadlines you have at Ford are mostly smoke and mirrors. They come and go. They mean nothing outside of Ford and nothing outside of business hours. If you were to leave tomorrow, they'd find somebody to be responsible for those deadlines and watch them pass just as you did. Realize this and your Sundays will be a little better. The WORST they can do to you is lay you off and from what I seen on this board most people would consider that the nudge they needed to move on with their lives. So don't worry about it, whatever it is. No one really cares and most panic is performative.

@de Funny you should mention JF couldn't decorate the bathrooms at WHQ. Even those are sc--wed up. Changing tables in the men's room, auto flush toilets that don't auto flush, and auto soap dispensers that don't work so every sink has a soap bottle next to it. Just like our vehicles, building looks nice but functionality is another question.

Retired from the oval 4yrs ago. Ever since 1995 F2000. The upper management conduct a re-org every 18-24 months. But the top of the house is still intact. It is quite clear the BOD & JF are not up too turning things around. Sorry to but the DF fantasy island folks but the idea of "LOSING" over $19bn for EVs with no accountability is beyond me.
Papers and studies clearly showed this plan was not valid but the top refused to believe the data. Instead they pay bonuses to these losers. Tired of the press / WS for not challenging these clowns. A couple of weeks ago AUTOLINE on you tube kept giving praise to DF. For what? Please explain! Guy never stayed in any one job for 3-5yrs... You have the press talk about google ev. Damn thing never made it to production or even prototypes. But since we live in a everybody gets a trophy.. They feel DF deserves one. Hey Jim I did not forget you. WHen are you going to stand up and take responsibility for the companies' direction? $19bn+ loss and you act like you are the 2nd coming on Bob lutz or Iacocca. Well I took the lump sum simply because I along with other employees do not have confidence that you can even execute redecorating the bathrooms at whq.
and you comments about billy stating this is the best exec lineup at ford. Well the rest of us consider the source. Same person who was fired by his own family in 06.

Deeming everything as urgent is equivalent to saying nothing is urgent. True leaders set specific, limited priorities to focus on.
