Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

RTO

So… brace yourselves 😬
I just got word from a very reliable source, Friday’s Town Hall is reportedly going to be about RTO… four days a week.

Yep. You read that right. Four. Days.
Consider this your early warning

Not thrilled (at all) about this, but… you heard it here first.

Evidently your source was wrong. He said nothing about it nor the lay offs, nor anything else we truly want to hear. Might want take your sources words with a grain of salt.

@OP You need to look in the mirror and think about what kind of person you want to be; the current you is neither funny nor ironic.

Your "very reliable" source is apparently making things up. Thanks for the fearmongering though.

There is no way, especially with the recent RIFs that he would drop a bombshell like that tomorrow. He would be crucified.

@dy I'd say it's more than kind of... 😂 I agree that this does not seem like the forum to make an announcement like that for HCSC, but I can't wait to hear what happens. Also be prepared for more "you're lucky you have a job" tone, whatever happens in the coming months. I guess it's true, but frankly I'm feeling lucky that I got out with some type of severance. The culture has turned to complete garbage. No trust, no transparency - feels worse than my time on the investor-owned carrier side...at least they were transparent and owned up to/fully communicated their decisions.

Maybe this is coming, but I doubt this is how they announce it. They're kind of committed to the poorly written e-mail with vague, ambiguous language as their method for communicating things like this.

Care to put a wafer on that? My information tells me that isn't currently part of hcsc's plans.

@d2 - A short term issue or taking a lot of PTO at once will definitely affect the yearly average. So, you must come in extra days to make up for it...or come in sick.

@cy two days is the required average over the past year to not appear on reports, not the short term.

@cm - With PTO, Holidays, and needing to work from home some weeks for various life events , under two days a week average can easily be the case for a period of time. God forbid ,you get sick but can still work from home too...or have a sick kid.

If they raise it to four, it will easily not be met.

This isn’t accurate. You don’t even appear on a report visible to HR or leaders unless you’re averaging under 2 days currently.

We have to already come in four days a week to make up for our PTO and Holidays.

So, will this now mean we have to come in five days a week...or maybe six?

HR is a joke!

LOL @ whoever is gullible enough to believe this. The idea that this company is going hard on in-office attendance is laughable. They can’t get a lot of the Flex people to even show up 2 days/week.
