Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Did anyone return their devices?

Did anyone return their laptop and phone? I was told that someone would reach out to me about sending my stuff back to IT, but that never happened.

Severance check cleared, so I guess I will just give the phone to my kid and trash the bricked laptop.

That’s funny. Maybe I’ll take it out to the field and use it for target practice.

I got my box about 3 weeks after my layoff date. Used one piece of scotch tape to hold it shut. Not my problem if it didn’t make it there.

Why bother, it’s worth peanuts and who hasn’t already got their own laptop or iPad these days?

Seems like hanging on to it for the sake of it.

Personally I would rather drop it into the office (reception will do if you take a photo).

Why have it on your mind or give them a reason to hassle you?

Don't give up on the laptop. You should be able to wipe it of everything. Then if it has a USB you can thumb drive install Chrome os and have a chromebook. Depending on the hurdles you might need to take it to a computer repair shop to make it happen.
