written by someone who do not understand how EU is working . EU is not a country with same laws / regulation. It was announced at European Worker council in September and depending on the country that will take several months to be executed . For some of them if was already announded and for some of them is was already executed .
I believe announced dividend date is also falling around same timeframe. might be before or after dividends.
@b3 the WoC started the negotiation period on Nov 25th, they have a máximum of 30 days per law to close it , that will be Dec 25th …most part of employees will be on leave so once everybody comes back around Jan 7 th the party will get started …

For EU, notice will be given bit early. Layoff is going to hit at global level again in Jan. better be prepared.

@op : layoffs in EU have been ongoing since September now , most part of European countries already hit and people impacted has been communicated - except in Spain which is estimated early January - it has been 10 per cent per country more or less so this news are a bit old …
