CL Level

Is there anyway to know where you are in your CL level? My manager says that he can’t see where I am in reference to my CL, and doesn’t know who to ask to find out.

@jk Supervisor here too and I absolutely know where my employees are in salary band each year, so my guess is you just don’t know where to see it.

My supervisor was able to tell me what % of the CL band i'm at...I'm basically at 100% of my CL band for my current ranking...to get a raise I need to get a higher ranking in the same CL or get a CL bump up

Supervisor here. HR doesn’t share pay bands anymore! Yes they used to but they stopped. Your information is old. And bequom just tells what your pay is not where in the band you are

I found out what my CL was during my review lol even though I asked a handful of times and he would tell me… I” I believe you are a …” which he was completely wrong. Now I’m on my final month of PIL bc I refused to let him put me through a PIP. Failed me once but you ain’t going to fail me again…

Your supervisor absolutely knows what % of the payband you're currently at. He/she may not be aware of where to look.

Its in beqom. Training says for them not to tell you explicitly but rather to focus on the "value of your whole compensation package".

Yes the supers know and can see and tell you just ask. As far as place in CL band if you are making 250 k and the CL pay band is 180 to 250 k you are at the top. Raises are small at the top unless you move up.

@e6 This is absolutely false information!

HR no longer shares this with supervisors. They stopped sharing about 6-7 years ago.

@db I know my CL level. The question is where I am in the CL level. Am I near the top or the middle. My supervisor says they can’t see that part. They have no idea if I’m at 95% reference or what.

@OP Your manager is FOS. CL levels are the main identifier used to decide who gets let go by layoff or PIP.

Keep asking the question in different ways indirectly until you get an answer.

I forgot to post my CL is 27 and my potential is zero. No room for growth according to career connect. I am retirement fodder for the machine meat grinder.

I know mine they tell me all the time that I am a CL 27. They also tell me they expect more from me because of my CL. Beware of a high CL as it us your way out. I am being forced out because the lower CLs are lower paid. Even better the indian BTC folks are even lower paid then all of us. All a CL does is specify your pay band. My pay band is 240to 280k per year usd. Don't fly too high icarus you will fall.

Tell your supervisor to log into beqom

Your supervisor can 100% see your current CL and just updated your potential. No clue why he is lying to you
