@da OpenText could be the next Lehman Brothers once everything is reviewed regarding prior acquisitions.

@aj There WILL be company wide communication. This isn't only for currently assigned office workers.

markb is gone now, and I haven't heard anybody beating that drum since. Perhaps reason and sanity will prevail, and everybody can just move on with doing what makes sense.

@am the people on this website https://www.morningstar.com/stocks/xnas/otex/executive only care about keeping their stock up so their $500k annual salary is stretched to $5m with stocks.

They don’t care about middle management. It’s shrinking to grow the stock and eventually get acquired if we do end up creating AI technology that customers want (at a high stock price).

I wonder how middle mgmt feel about working to shrink a company instead of growing it. We are living in weird times.

There will be no company wide email. This is all being funneled via management in meetings. In addition, a “Commission Starvation" strategy will be implemented to reduce headcount by either eliminating comp, putting people on team plans or setting impossible targets. Tier 1 support will be replaced with AI and sales of low dollar software subscriptions for SMB will all be either online or via an MSP.
