Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

The worst bank by far!

And make no mistake... those that are being laid off and those that stay are both unequivocally SUFFERING ! such an awful third world environment and they insist on using words like Thrive, and Pillars and all kinds of absolute horsesh#t.
Thrive my A@S !

@cx this was my second job out of college and got just got let go after a couple years, I learned quickly to keep my head down and just get experience. Even being let go I’m pretty confident I can find something similar with the experience I’ve gained, bouncing from place to place is unfortunately a new reality for people our age.

@da interesting how they own it still, left it empty, forced us to wfh and now are terminating us for being wfh because they dont want wfh. How tf does that make sense ? But its ok. Ive contacted NYS EEOC to see if something can be done about that along with all the discrimination wr have had to endure because of that wfh status they forced us in . Just waiting to hear back but will speak with attorneys also

@cn get off this board and never come back. Ever. You are unwanted even by your own mother.

Put nearly 10 years in Oriskany. Managers and supervisors were %#holes! They were arrogant, lazy and condescending. The only consolations were that work was less than five miles and no work on weekends. The pay stunk and the annual “raises” were awful. The final straw was when they farmed out positions and work to the highly incompetent and ignorant Indians. Happy to be out of there. Oriskany now is an empty building with a handful of WFH employees who regularly worry if they will receive a RIF email soon. The CEO is also an a-s#@!

@cx if you just started out of college you’ll be fine. Anyone who has been there for an extended period of time and is not in some way tied to the Goldman soft takeover is not fine. For you, try to gain some valuable experience if possible and eventually move on. No doubt you are about to see a lot of bad things happen around you.

Agree. This is absolutely the worst Ive seen this place since starting my career here 20 years ago. People thought things were rough under Gerald. Its been terrible under Robin and getting worse
