Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

Why did the stock tank today?

Something had to be leaked. Huge drop.

The stock is fairly stable over the last 30 days. Holding at low 20's

Down from it's near $40 peak when Mark++ was sacked and he sold all his shares at top value.

@aw Investors love stock buybacks, but the market hates them. Inflates the share price without any real increase in company performance. And in OT's case, it's burning down our available cash, just to pump up the share price.

Problem is, as soon as the buyback increases the price, the people who can cash in on it sell and we're right back to the price before the most recent buyback transaction.

Most of the market dropped today, we're just back to where we started on Monday before that big 6% run.
