PHASE ONE

Has anyone received any reliable information on how long Phase One will last? In the 900 building in Smithfield, it’s a total nightmare. Not enough bathrooms, desks, parking spots, takes 30 minutes to get off campus, etc - and that’s just for 50/50. I realize the upper crust wants huge attrition numbers but some of us have no choice. This toxic environment is about to get worse - amazing.

@ef “dumpster fire of a group”

Let me guess, you’re in the part of FI that got merged into PI?

@dk Easy cowgirl. I have no privilege and I have no choice but to stick it out for far longer than I want in my dumpster fire of a group. Just trying to remind people that it’s a cult and they do not care about us at all. They’ll continue to deploy tactics strictly meant to force people to quit and increase misery. Distance yourself from it as much as possible and focus on the people that really matter to you. We aren’t here on this planet for very long.

@d0 this is a nice sentiment, but some of us need to be able to support ourselves and our family. Otherwise, why bother? This is about more than just some job - you must have privilege.

There is so much more to life than this. They’ve successfully induced a cult like mentality into most associates. If you’re not wildly burnt out with a reeling headache everyday, than you’re not working hard enough!

Time passes incredibly quickly. It’s the relationships at home that matter the most. Do NOT let the leadership of this absolutely horribly run behemoth of a company negatively impact those relationships and loves. We aren’t here for very long.

@a9 you asking about the people who are trying to get us off the mainframe that already went through this operating model change almsot a year ago?

If we're forced into the office, at least give us cubicles so we can actually hear clients... open floor is re--rded when you're cramming everyone together like sardines

@a7 Thanks. Sadly that all makes sense.

You think the RIF next week will impact Fid Wealth and the piece of FI that just transitioned to Fid Wealth?

Phase Two will start in 2027 - by the end of 2027 it will be 100% in Office for all sites. Next week’s RIF will be the start, followed by the attrition following the RTO announcement (because there will be no slack or exceptions given), then there will be the renovation of WLK, NC, and SMT where they will go to the open floor plan (no cubes, just open workspaces with 4 to 6 “stations” per table — similar to 245 summer), they will move folks from SMT to BOS because they are keeping 245 now, WLK is looking to build a new parking garage, NC will be downsized through the RIF.

They will make it work. Just don’t expect it to be remotely like it is today.

They are moving "phone / client facing" roles to working at home more 1 week in offcice 3 weeks at home. That means more space is available for "non phone" roles.
