You know what's funny? When items in a grocery store get recalled, people talk about it, they don't buy it again, avoid the brand like the plague. When Ford issues a recall notice, what the fu-k do people think?

That’s because "hey, let’s do this" gets translated as "let’s stomp this guy". Then the stompers spearhead the work as if it were their own effort but can’t sustain it. Nothing comes to fruition because the original person is already out of the picture.
@df I prefer the Kia EV 9, it's assembled in Georgia. Never been a truck person.
I know your question is trying to be facetious, but the reason is, people have emotional attachments to cars and brands, they feel the car they drive represents a part of them. People don’t really have that same connection to their bacon or lettuce.
@d0 All my life the only recalls I endured were when I owned Ford vehicles. That’s why I’ll never buy another.
It's more like people don't know the reality of buying a Ford. They think F-150s are something to aspire to or that they're buying American.
@an It sounds to me like this is a Ford issue. All my life, never had a recall scenario. Throughout my family included.
@OP many of our customers think of themselves as a "Ford guy" or a "Ford family" even if nobody in their family has any connection to Ford. These customers will buy a Ford even it is a steaming pile of sh-t that costs 3 times as much as the equivalent models from competitors. They won't bat an eye at recalls and will only buy Ford cars.

Chinese vehicles are more reliable now then Ford vehicles.
My F150 , was a wacky toy car, every month something was fallen apart , after 5 years the vehicle rusted out to orange pieces and I couldn't drive it anymore.
I hear about it all the time from family, friends, because they know I work for Ford. Super annoying to comment on it.
Don’t buy Ford or Lincoln. Buy a Toyota.
If every product were recalled from Kraft annually....
If you avoid every brand that has a recall, well, have fun walking to work.
