A couple of days mean nothing. By the time you finally start to relax, it is already time to go back to he-l. I genuinely envy people who can switch off the moment they leave work.

@cz copious amounts of PTO? It’s capped once you hit 5 years and unless you live in one of a couple states…rollover is capped at 40 hours.
The amount of PTO we get isn’t bad though to be honest. But there isn’t some copious amount that you get the longer you’re here. After 5 years it doesn’t increase any more.
All jobs su-k. Been at most the major MN Fortune companies. Any vacation over a week and you have an existential crisis on why the he-l you even bother with any of it.
That is why companies like short vacations. Less time to see past the rat race facade.
If you stay at a career long enough you get copious amount of PTO. Stop your whining.
@ab they can have it. The real talent will walk away. Right now the offshore workers are not able to do what my onshore Team can do. They depend on the onshore workers to guide them. I feel bad for both onshore and offshore. This company is not good to either

I am a high performer. I feel the same way with all of the unrealistic deadlines, jumping hoops, and endless hours due to poor communication and planning. I am going to give as much as I am receiving for now on. I am not unskilled. I will find something else eventually. A lot of real talent will be lost with the way this company is going
