Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Anyone planning on leaving the industry want to file a title VIi case for racist & s-xist hiring and promotion policies?

A statistical overrepresentation of one hired or promoted group IS enough grounds to file a title VII case for discrimination and force HR groups into revealing internal communications and policies regarding hiring and promoting practices.

We all know this occurs industry wide, and across most industries… Might be worth filing these cases when we have a DOJ that is anti DEI?

“Those that got the vaxx injuries should sue them for forcing. Crickets.”

Nobody forced you unless you were in GOM offshore, or outside of the USA.

I had my reasons not to, and stood firm. There are unsung hero’s high up in Chevron that fought to leave it up to the individual. You’ll always have my gratitude. Sadly there are injuries out there, but at this time the majority of folks are okay. Unlike those that wished I would die from the coof simply for being unvaxxed, I hope that no one is impacted by their choice to get the vax.

It's a waste of time. I suggest spending your energy looking for another job.

@cy Indeed. But one thing you ought to hand to these lazy, whiny, low IQ fu--s - they love to suit themselves up and listen to themselves talk scripted sh-t. They will always have the fu--ing Brooklyn bridge to sell the rest of us!

It looks like some are just extremely bitter and triggered because certain demographics are more successful than them. Do you also make racist and se.xist comments about the Asians who routinely crush most of you in STEM fields? I don't think whining about them is going to progress your career in any way. Listen to yourselves. It's pathetic.

Chevron has one of the best legal teams IN. THE. WORLD. So have fun and good luck with that.

The downvoting is strong here. Must really hurt to have to compete for jobs and promotions now rather than be given them automatically for being a while, Christian man who golfs, with bonus points if you went to college in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.

@aq Exactly and well stated! Wh---y upper management through and through and not a single one of these suits ever took responsibility or the fall for the shitstorm that they unleashed. Not one of these shameless suits was let go.

Maybe start with a statistical analysis of CVX hiring of CEOs. In its entire history, every single one has been a white male. Sounds like a sure winner in court.

Very difficult to prove and Chevron has some of the best lawyers. Good luck with that….

I’m confused. We predominantly hire and promote men and you want to want to file a lawsuit based on discrimination that you think an anti-diversity and inclusion DOJ will get behind? That doesn’t make sense.
