Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Survey ended yesterday. Here is what comes next.

1) Major Layoffs
2) Your manager says “You are not on track “ during your mid year review discussion

No. They only care about two things - participation percentage and DEI numbers. That’s it..

None of my critical feedback in the past has ever been partially addressed or solved. If anything, all of our flaws have gotten worse. More beauracracy, promotions and praise heaped upon the least qualified among us, and massive raises for the elites at the top (e.g. BM's 17% raise after a only $35M in 2024) but raises that don't even match inflation for those at the bottom, to name just some. Your criticisms have better chances of changing things if you wrote them on tp and then flushed them. It seems they only care about the response rate and don't give a flying f about the contents of those responses, so the only mildly effective form of protest is to not participate at all.

@ab The SLTs can pick up the phone and talk to me. Treat me like a real person that has ideas that don't fit into a letter capped box in the survey.

@cx Upper mgmt must have a list. How can they tell that 50% of my team has participated? I have been here quite a while and the same thing happens every year.

Has anything changed since you “blasted” them year after year? Give them a result the can’t explain to BM.

Nope. I’m not engaging them. It would be like screaming into a black hole. 🗣️🕳️

Nope. The only way to send a message is to not do it. They count it towards 'a great place to work' lol if you do it EVEN if you blast them. Just DON'T do it.

Do the survey and blast them in every comment section for the pathetic salary increases and bonuses after record levels of profit. Blast them for the ridiculous policy of 3x a week in office (we all know how little actually gets accomplished in office). Blast them for the over-the-top RISE/Trident surveys and deliverables. Blast them for all of their stupid decisions!

they know who fills it out. those of you who did not are getting reminders, are you not? and, your manager can easily tell who wrote what in the comments. so you're darned if you do, darned if you don't. ask the company to define what anonymous means and also voluntary while you're at it.

My skip level is pinging individually to see if we did it or not. Do they have a way to check how many haven't done it?

I haven't for all the reasons already stated but feel a bit guilty as my boss (who is great) said it impacts her comp. We'll see if I cave by Friday.

Yes, if you don't take the survey how will the SLT know what you would like the power to do?

Nope. I gave up after 5 years of no relevant change.

(any changes were made by HR to benefit the execs, not the employees. pathetic.)

All the pain points remain and have gotten worse. And there are even more now.

Bad, very bad.
