LHH

Anyone working with LHH that was JE’d? Are they helping? Did you find employment using their service?

As someone else mentioned, the networking is the best part of the service. The “coach” I had is incredibly depressing on LinkedIn with her AI slop about the sh---y job market and wasn’t helpful in our meetings. But I’ve since got a new job and helped other folks I met in those LHH networking sessions get jobs at my new employer.

I found LHH to be extremely annoying with constant calls and emails. The last call I answered I just told them I decided to retire and was all set with it so they can close out my profile. Didn’t really need what they were offering. They also came off a bit condescending in their approach which was a huge turn off.

@cv AI was more helpful at helping me with my resume than LHH. Also the VMOCK seems to read my resume at a lower score and says it has more wrong with it than Gemini says

The service su-ks.

BUT it is great for networking with other folks from other big companies who were also laid off. You never know who can be your next referral. Met some amazing people at other Fortune 500 companies..

Otherwise the rest of it is...okay. Take what you can get from it, I don't think it helps with actually getting a job personally.

Didn’t find them helpful at all. The seminars were basically common sense, and they seemed to speak down to you. The coach didn’t have anything constructive to add. Found it a waste of time

@dp makes sense, I went ahead and activated it, but the first seminar was lame and he talked to us like we were kindergartners. My first talk with my coach didn’t feel promising either, as it was clear they are “coaches” and not recruiters..

I had worked with them when I was laid off at a previous job. It seemed like a consolation prize from the company that let me go, "see we are supporting you!". They have their 'system', they helped rewrite my resume, but I had someone else review it later and they said 'LHH Wrote this' without me even asking. Had some info on how to best navigate the state unemployment plan, but everything they shared was info that was openly available with a little research.

They kept calling me. I never picked up the phone. They’d leaves messages and send emails. I assume they only get paid by Cigna if you use their services. That’s what I think since they were kinda relentless in trying to speak to me.

LHH is a joke. I got more help rewriting my own resume and visiting my former college alumni career center.

They have some helpful tools and some of the advice has been useful. One key theme is that AI has totally taken over the hiring process and we’d all better get used to it. The next 5+ years are going to be horrifying.
