Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Ethical Managers are not Wanted by Leadership

A senior manager recently left the company not because they were looking for a better position but they started looking for a better position when it was explained to them that it was better to have power point slides that showed everything was on target and budget and with green checkmarks than telling the truth.

The senior manger was working on some key project(s) that was integrating legacy systems between Xerox and Lexmark.

These are the type of leaders that we need to move forward with a healthy balance sheets — the ones that will speak truth to leadership but we have a leadership that isn’t interested in hearing and sharing up to the VP and EC levels.

It’s our lost as a company that this Senior Manager left. Hopefully this manager leaving will be a warning sign to leadership but somehow I doubt it.

@h1 I guess we have more than just one ethical leader jumping ship… I’ll say leader here because it was not OP I was thinking of whom was a Sr. Manager.. but I use the leader to point out that ethical leadership has lost but the company in a time that it needs this style of leadership more than ever.

@ct We didn't let them in, the company and leadership was so weak at that point they kicked the door down and took over. Then they crapped their pants when they realized what a mistake that was.

Been happening for years. I used to question data but was told to just make it look good as it won’t get checked.. but to be honest it happens everywhere not just here

Yep I have seen that a lot, not just with senior management levels. Results that are poor are positioned to look better than they are. And those above them dont know, or care, enough to question what they are seeing and to dive deeper into what they are being shown.
