I hate what's being done to it. I used to be proud working here. Not anymore.

@mn it's not the work we have a problem with; it's the treatment we get from our employer.
If you want more money, maybe move to the US. Why complain when the solution is clear?
@dw so your problem is that you are paid so much you can’t get that elsewhere? Then maybe that’s the point of the money.
If you want an easier job, go somewhere else for less. If you want the money, deal with the hard job.
US salaries are embarrassingly massive compared to other countries. A JG14 in the US can live like a king compared to one in another country.
@hd I would love to, but they keep adding in-office days and they keep telling me to do more with less.
Then they take away benefits, promotions, and pay raises, then lay off a bunch of people, so that I literally have to do more, but for less.
Make your life less about work and more about home family and friends they don't care so why should you?
@OP I feel the same way. I was so excited to join 3M. I thought it was a good company. My team told me bad things about 3M shortly after I arrived. I did not believe them and found out the hard way they were right. Working at 3M was the worst decision I have ever made. I got very sick because of the toxic conditions. I hope people thinking of joining 3M read comments on this site. I know I should have.
@f7 when will BB due for his retirement (final one)?
Those wanting to push back and send BB packing sooner than later reach out to an editor at the St Paul/Minneapolis Business Journal. Discuss the employee moral, ability to stay under the WARN act and executive financial tactics.
And Graco has recently invested millions buying into the adhesive market. Take that info as opportunities to exit 3M.
@cs yeah, but as JG13, I can't just go out and get an equivalent job right away, and unless you're extremely frugal, someone with a $150k+ salary can't just absorb the pay cut that would come with taking just any old job.
So the only option is to find another job at my level, and that takes months of searching.
It's what we're all doing, but it takes a long time to be able to leave this hellhole.
I'd call it golden handcuffs, but it's not like pay or benefits are good at 3M; I just don't want to fall all the way down and start over after I spent the last 15 years climbing the corporate ladder.
Anything below JG16 dont bother. You dont have stock options to push up for.
JG-12+ - we’re sinking and it doesn’t matter anymore how hard we tried to avoid,
@a8 why would you make such an ignorant comment? The extra time, work dedication and team achievements may have never found your bingo card, so take your hostility and leave it elsewhere.
I work in ESC org and must say it is a mess. The group pres and SVPs are sending conflicting priorities to the plants. Everyone is focus on their own KPIs. Total cha0s.
I got an offer in a different company last week but still waiting for the logistics to work through. The only motivation to work is to how much more mess they are making every day.
hasta la vista baby
Well ... BYE!!!
Just resign
