Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

What happened to SF?
Been here 15 years and the last few years have been next-level dysfunction. Constant reorgs, zero communication, and whiplash "priorities" that change weekly. New hires think this chaos is normal, that's how long this circus has been running. At this point I just assume every meeting invite is bad news.

Today was the first day in over 4 years that either State Farm or HCL didn't pay me nearly $70/hour to ur my grass.

I've recently lost my cushy WFH job that I spent over 2 hours a day (most days) actually working and not watching TV or going for long walks .

Does anyone have any pointers on how to get by?

I'm going to have a couple more hours of free time and I won't need to check my computer screen every 30 minutes to see if someone sent some "important" email that I must read.

Yes WFH reduction does cut costs. Labor costs! Don't be stupid.

to Post ID: @hq+1jtrt7v2p,

in no way, shape or form does returning to the office "cut costs"

If SF makes everyone go back into the office they will loose too many employees. Why would people go back in with so many other companies with wfh jobs available. Progressive is hiring 12k and some of those openings are wfh. There is absolutely no benefit for employees to be in an office. More benefits for the company to have wfh also, less cost and overhead. You can give the same customer service over the phone from anywhere. I will never return to an office.

Please provide the data to support this. Or is this another one of those "facts don't care about your feelings, exclusions apply when it's my feelings" situations?

There is no better reason? Sure there is. It cuts costs, manages production, eliminates abuse, requires people to interact with each other, enhances teamwork, eliminates all about me, assures the customer gets the best possible service and do on. Get your A$$ out of bed 2 hours earlier and get to work just like the rest of mankind. Learn to shine your shoes. There's more about the world than just you. Ask those govt workers! SF needs same as feds.

nicely put TM pretending to be an employee, upper management is pleased that you are manipulating opinions to be in favor of what upper management wants....however no one that actually works believes in this, there is no situation where going to the office is better than staying home for the employee, but keep practicing the lies, eventually you will get better at it.
