Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

STEER

For those currently in the Transformation or tagged CO dedicated how many of you have received the STEER email? Trying to understand the actual substance of this seemingly nice program versus the stated goal of 'supporting internal transfers' Has anyone seen any concrete results or movements from it yet?

Also, for any former colleagues who were let go: did you receive this communication prior to your departure? Any insights or 'lessons learned' regarding what this email actually signals would be greatly appreciated.

Nope. Most of my team did but not me. Only got confirmation email that I signed up.

I was RIF'd and did not receive anything about it. Doesn't matter. I wouldn't return to Citi for all the money in the world. In just one week my mental health has rebounded and I feel alive.

It is just a way to help transformation employees. It is not a guarantee of interviews or selection, you still need to qualify for the role. However, if you do apply to a role you qualify for then the idea is that you will be prioritised over externals.

During the first big reorg there was a redeployment team who did the same for RIF'd employees. It is built on the same mentality.

Wether it does anything or not, what is the harm in using the resources available if you are happy to stay at Citi?
