Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

I can't "do more with less"

Management keeps hammering “do more with less” like it’s a pep talk, but all it does is make people tired, frustrated, and resentful. I’ve stopped pretending I can keep up with it and I feel bad for those who're still trying. It's not as if it'll do them any good in the long run or save them from layoffs.

If what PEP is doing now is not working, then why do more of it, and more of the same thing, while hoping for better results.  Einstein called that approach to be crazy.  PEP should be embracing "doing less with less".  Jettison all the phony, useless make work and mgmt/corporate BS.  Doing more with less is the stupid, inefficient, primitive approach that basically says work harder and longer. Doing less with less is a more efficient, smarter approach. Elliott Management will help PEP see that this is the smarter approach.

@cp yeah at this point no point doing more, wait for bunch of things to be shut down and deprioritized. Then things become more reasonable. Random marketing activities, reports, etc no one cares about

My annual pay will come in at $10k less this year than last year. My workload keeps increasing due to cost savings measures. When I get a new job, I’m leaving without notice.

We've been hearing this for years now. No amount of work or coordination will make a difference. It's a lose/lose situation. Mgmt of course knows they can't do more with less ,but they don't care because they will just place blame and be rotated to a new project or promoted.

Employee mental health, they don't care! Work life balance, they don't care! Not using all of your vacation, they don't care! Surviving on your 1% raise, they don't care! Working weekends, they don't care! 12-14 hour days, they don't care! Working through lunch, they don't care! Hostile work environment, they don't care! Hiring freeze, they don't care! Higher cost benefits, they don't care! Layoffs, they don't care! Sales in the toilet, they don't care!!
