@cn That is absolutely false. As a former Director, we had a requirement to have 30% of our teams located in low cost locations. I had to fight hard to get someone in the U.S. approved.

I don't know why this comment about engineering is down voted so hard. I think it's the funniest comment yet. It is especially bad in engineering. We only hire Americans to speak understandable to customers.
Not in engineering but I'll say the impacts should be incredibly minor to Teradata. We're an American focused firm with regards to hiring and there's only offshoring utilized when absolutely necessary not just to save cost.
The amount of incompetence from H-1B labor would greatly improve our company's survival chances if removed completely. I spend my entire day covering up their problems. But hey, if I were in charge...
Maybe our customers will be able to understand what's being said now.
Any impact assumes that Teradata is going to be growing in the future. This would be the definition of a su---r bet.
