Will cuts continue tomorrow?

Once you stop getting new assignments, then you know something is up.
If you feel like you are not apart of the Team, this is a sign.
I agree that the names for the August Layoff were known 2 months prior.
IMO, I think more layoffs are coming after the apple pre sale and before December 31.
@eb I noticed I was cut off from key meetings. I was first demoted (from a Manager to an IC) and then let go in 2023. For me it was ageism and a Sr. Director who constantly spoke out of both sides of his face. Nobody liked him, but he managed to keep his job. And then when I was on the list, he gave the job of giving me the news to an underling.
Yes, it's raw. But I've forgiven them for what they did. I've moved on to something much more rewarding and with much less stress.
@cg Because the d-mb bi--hes in HR first have to convince themselves that they are good people, and that they are doing valuable and important work, so it takes longer.
@cg this is real and still very raw. When I was cut in 2023, I didn't fully notice how I was being managed out of key meetings but I could see others attending - and just assumed it was an oversight. I didn't process what was happening to me because I didn't know what being "managed out" was.
It's slow and methodical -- like frog in a boiling pot. Until one morning I got the dreaded 15min webex with the director who always demanded hugs and "safe travels". Yeah, that was the end of being "fam" and here's your paperwork. It was awful and I will never forgive TMO for how they handled it instead of being adults and just asking me to "do more" or asking me what was challenging me from fully expressing myself to be more productive.
It was NEVER enough for them after 20 years. I think ageism is part of it along with possibly pharma benefits/loss records (Im convinced they have access to lifetime payouts), etc. But instead, I finally rose out of my funk and moved on - and indeed found something twice as great! So fkem!
You'll know tomorrow.
@br Overwhelmed HR?
They've had the list of names for at least a couple of months. Plug data into a form, generate a package, email it to the Manager/Director/VP along with a set script of what the Manager/Director/VP can say. Repeat a couple thousand times. Should take TMO's HR about a week of work tops to generate the packages.
HR isn't in the "Org" meetings where you're let go. Just your manager/director.
I think IT is done (for now). 10% of IT FTE were let gi on 8/12.
Word is business is next, Frier’s care/retail org is supposed to be announcing layoffs soon. I’ve not heard a specific timeline but seems like the next week or two. I’m guessing other parts of the company will also follow.
Back in 2023 when they did, this layoffs were spread out over the course of a month tonight, overwhelmed HR with all of the termination processing they were having to do
Retail IT or Retail Store?
I'm hearing retail is tomorrow. Also IT directors.
