AIP followed by mass exodus?

Do we have confirmation on when AIP will be paid out? What are people hearing or feelings about any exodus after the payout?
And since it doesn’t seem like there was any big RIF in January, does it seem like there will be one before AIP?

@cb what dept were you a part of. I'm curious to know where the 150 RIFs were from.

I saw one person with messages where last day is 3/16 but are out on PTO until that date. Wonder if they got riffed or voluntarily left. At least they’ll get their AIP payout. I wonder if they will give the fair amount or try to take time back since they are leaving the company.

I’m retiring. I’m done. Time to go. Time to see EH in my rear view mirror. On to volunteering more often and maybe a PT job if I get bored. Travel is primary on the agenda. I can’t do EH anymore.

@dd I will be exiting. Was offered a much better pay rate with great benefits. I feel people are silently quitting and will be leaving after payout.

@OP AIP is 3/14. There have been a few small RIFs since 1/1: 1/28 and 2/5 had some service teams. But they might have been peak season temps?

@1xe interesting 3 people are going out on medical leave announced yesterday at staff meeting. Manager is asking the rest of us to take on their workload, you can imagine how well that went over.

@dd quiet quitting while doing the bare minimum and job searching. Lots of that going on, also I am hearing people seeking medical loa's to get a break from the stress and maybe interview while they are out on leave.

like a slow bleed

I don't know what you mean by a big RIF, but there were associates RIFd the end of January. There were 150 RIFd last Wednesday including 15 managers.

There won’t be a mass exodus. People are holding on to their positions because the job market is awful. Also, companies are often offering less money to the new hires these days. The times of job hopping into pay raises are over at least for now.

Weak Hiring, Layoff Plans Paint a Gloomy Labor Market Picture

Headline in the news. Not sure now is the time to be leaving anywhere. Job market is in the toilet and layoffs are high everywhere across all industries. Might want to rethink all the advice being given

@cw You should get your money. I retired in October 2023 and got a sizable AIP in 2024. I was actually surprised as no one told me that I was even still eligible.

Thanks. I “retired” after I was RIF’d in 2025 and they said I am eligible for a prorated AIP based on months worked…since I’m still unemployed, I am eager to see if I get my money.

A large RIF happened yesterday. Yes, on a Wednesday. Total 150 including 15 managers. More probably coming today or soon.

When you are told your actual merit and AIP amount you will also be told the date it will start/pay out. Once that is done, it's in the system and locked to pay. If you feel you need the actual AIP in your hands before you leave it is Mid March - always has been.
