Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

HCSC is toxic

We were forced to "train" people and say they were qualified when they weren't. Now I am seeing job posting that are remarkably similar to jobs that were eliminated but with slight twists that make it impossible to get rehired.

Yes, @LRPvnWL-2Bwre, this has been their way of doing things for a while now. It has come to the point that everybody who has been with a company for a few years and has had a few raises is now fearing they will be the next to go. As soon as we get a few fresh faces, we know what's coming.

My department didn't get laid off (I worried about that too) but I wanted to chime in and say that I agree that HCSC is a very toxic place to work for. I'm working hard to get out!

  • Rude/Nasty leadership that treats their employees like pitiful servants
  • Employees with the best talent do not get promoted--it's very political. In fact, I've seen employees that do terrible work get promoted because they have political ties with a manager
  • Workload is overwhelming, they work you like a slave and make it very clear that you are a second-class citizen

@c9oqn+Otz0p1a, you must be upper management with HCSC. Every employee of HCSC knows their job is always in jeopardy. I know people who work there and they will tell you as much. They recently had a other layoff spree. Your post has nothing to do with this post. It doesn't prove they aren't bad about layoffs. They are not honest and cannot be trusted. Go back to your ho-e and hide your head until it's your turn to go.

They did this in Oklahoma in 2009. They merged with BCBSOK then moved departments to other states. BCBSOK was amazing before the merge. I won't even carry BCBS insurance now. I worked there 21 years before my job went to Texas. Our previous CEO sailed us down the river, for his own benefit, when he merged. HCSC cannot be trusted.
