Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

We are out of cash..!!!!

The calls to stop spending money and the pain continues..... our customers and our network continues to suffer, let's not get into how much the employees are suffering. What is Stinky doing to AT&T...?? We are told to save a dime, but then he spends millions on stupid cr-p.

Why is he still around?
Why hasn't the board asked for his resignation...?
Are the stock holders and board members as blind and as stupid as he is..??

We are definitely in a spiral downhill... sad to see how much the company and upper management continue to fail us all.

Remember…it’s the SBC hall of shame. SBC is the most often cited HBC for cluster management. Thankfully VZ tied Frontier around its ankle and T Mo hasn’t received anymore free spectrum from T lately. And remember that CNN is the crown jewel of W. Hope golden boy isn’t still around.

@e5 yup. They saw it in some McKinsey PowerPoint and believed it was God Tier. Just like RTO. They literally have no idea what they’re doing there in the Dallas ivory tower. Remember, we do not lead, only follow.

I know exactly where this was, and I will be opening an investigation into all

Sure you do.

Fun fact. We paid 8 figures for a software package to automate fiber design that does not work, and has designed builds that cost far more than a human design would have. No one is allowed to question the efficacy of this platform. Now they are panicking because it has overspent the build budget by big numbers. More d1mwits in Dallas falling for bad sales pitches that end up costing the stockholder millions if not billions.

@c6 thanks for letting me know. I know exactly where this was, and I will be opening an investigation into all overtime charges on that job. You better hope you can prove your OT charges are real or else you’ll be terminated for cause.

What are you talking about? I just got 6 hours of OT today when a CO generator failed and I was needed to tow and connect a portable one. I even used my p-card to buy some off the shelf work lights.

I'm not suffering and the company is spending money on OT.

Plenty of cash to pay workers, pay dividend.

Why, because the board is just as incompetent as Stankey, if not more.
They get 300+k a year and other perks to do nothing. What is their incentive to hold him accountable? They win regardless of the outcome. He's got two years left and they will annoite another dipsh*t and keep cashing their checks and collecting stock options. Pretty good gig if you can get it.

Get rid of unneeded workers and save a bunch of cash there.

The current plan for layoffs is needed since so many employees at every level have bloated salaries for their current level of productivity.

@a4

Everything is a-ok as long as you have boots to lick. At least in your world...

@a4 you are clearly very far removed from anything to do with financials. Budget cuts are now constant and becoming more and more frequent. The company is not doing well financially at all, but the execs will still get their greedy bonuses and stink will still build his new HQ on his way out. It will be paid for with your head. He’s a selfish S-B.

@a4 we have north of $100B in debt still from the bad deals he signed off on. We also just took another $2B loan to build the new HQ that nobody besides him wants. Cancelling that entirely pointless project would resolve pressures immediately. The guy doesn’t have a clue how to successfully run a business of this size. He couldn’t even manage your local McDonald’s.

Not saying you are wrong about leadership but we made 23 billion + last year. We aren’t out of cash. AT&T employees aren’t suffering. We are paid on time and we don’t miss a paycheck.

Layoffs and bad things happen but the sky isn’t falling
