Given notice period of 2 months , Can you retain your grants if layoff happens 2 months ahead of your vesting date ?
or you get forfeited ?

@c6 are you from US ?
I was part of the cuts last week - confirmed zero chance to keep your RSUs that are vesting this year - I don't believe US has garden leave, so your separation date is when the shares are cancelled.
Usually though people are terminated, they will be in Aria for 2 months. Their access will be gone.
That 2 months will be their Garden leave. I was wondering if RSU can mature in that time.
Just started preparing my checklist for before and after layoff. Its surely coming.
@am Correct. The RSU grants in the US did say that they don't vest during garden leave, but they did. The garden leave and the vesting during garden leave was unusually generous for O. All other lay offs I saw, people were terminated the day they were told.
@b5 There is no guarantee that future RIFs will get garden leave. And last time how much you got depended on when you were told you were laid off. All the garden leaves ended on Sept 22. TBH it was unexpected.
How may days garden leave we get for US remote employees.
I was on US garden leave when some RSU's vested. Those I got, anything after Sept 22, 2025 went bye bye
yes just keep them cheques coming :)
Depends on your official separation date. If the vesting occurs before that date you still get the stocks. If not, then they are lost. At least that is what happened in the US with the September 2025 layoffs.
I think this depends on country specific rules. In the September layoffs, the message in European country was that as long as you are employee (even on garden leave or with notice period), you have all employee benefits till the very last date. So as long as vesting happens when you employment contract is valid, it is yours. But I heard Oracle has a legal way to take it away, but it is not exercising it in these cases
Anything that isn't vested is gone.
No.
