I checked in with my team both Thursday and Friday, but it has been radio silence above me to the team.
@c6 doesn’t prevent them from showing compassion and empathy. A real leader is there for their team in times like this.

In a very feminine dominated area, layoff rumors have been going around for weeks if not months (sorry the gals do love to gossip) but yes my direct leader for the last two weeks has let people vent and discuss in multiple closed door team meetings about what might happen. Had a more intense impromptu zoom today as well to voice very candid thoughts. Leader admitted they knew as much as we did and offered hypothesis on what might happen including sadly how they may be on the outs
Yes mine was silent. At least I checked in with my team. What do we expect when the press release had more details than was shared with us though.
My L7 and L8 checked in yesterday and today. Nothing from anyone higher up.

@a7 or they may have been laid off. If they went silent they may have been impacted as I know some higher level roles found out their jobs were impacted yesterday and today.
VP and SVP completely silent. Speaks volumes of their leadership.

My manager hosted an impromptu zoom call with our team to talk/vent out. Of course he was blindsided by this announcement as well. Entire team had some out of the heart/free conversation and that’s about it! No additional information.
mine was silent until today and then also hit us up with expectations for monday meeting lmao.
My VP has gone silent and my L8 took the day off.
My leader checked in with me at the office yesterday after the email was sent. I’m not sure that would’ve happened if we weren’t in person.
