For people who track this stuff i predict sick time will double or triple. If I have a sick kid I have to pick up and leave the office I’ll just use four hours of sick time. And when I log off I will be done for the day. I’m not going to sit in an office for 5 hours and not have it count as a day back. And if I’m not feeling great instead of working from home I’ll use sick time. I bet lots of people will do the same.

Not all employees receive sick days. Lucky you.
Thank you to all the RTO abusers - may you rot.
8 hours in office is fake news
@c2 Agree that I am not winning. They win only because I require a check to live. But anyone sitting on longevity and a bank of PTO should get severance instead of being managed out like this. If I were a recent hire this would not be my goal.
sick time = PTO. Not a big win there, chipping away at your PTO.
@br If I didn’t have the PTO, I would be aggressively looking for a sane employer. There is no reason to waste your talent here. The firm should lose talented people with better options over this.
That won’t work for new hires. The PTO for anyone here in their first three years is cr-p
I will be volunteering and taking PTO in half day increments. The firm can also respect my time outside of the 8 hours and resource plan accordingly. When you treat professionals like children under surveillance, you get exactly what you asked for.
