This loooong reorg, threat of job loss, time to look for another, etc, takes a toll on the whole family, relationships, marriage, friendships. So many are tired of hearing about the drama. Internal family dynamics are so stressed. It’s so damaging beyond a lot of posters who are like there’s life beyond here etc. it’s true but it’s a deep cut no one at the working level asked for.

I hope you are not a Chevron Engine employee because your English skills are horrible. No one in a job position in an English speaking country will ever understand you.
You need to remover when you speak with global Chevron staff, English is the common language.
Please take English language training. I am retiring after 35 years and I need you to work at a lower wage so I can retire comfortably on my multi million dollar pension.
Thanks for keeping the lights on while I move to my lake house and enjoy my retirement.
@b1 You’re giving us even more reason to let you figure out how to do things without a smooth transition. Good luck getting help from onshore. There were some posters advocating giving you bogus info. Good luck!
@gb Prolly MW with his PR filter turned off.
@d8 This troll appears to be or was a stateside CVX employee.
@d3 Agree, they are not only manipulating the voting, but commenting, it is so obvious, because they know not what they are commenting about.
@cv good lord. Now someone set the bots to upvote everything else as soon as their bs was called. What a boring life that person must lead.
@cv I'm c2. I'm fairly certain that someone has created a bot to downvote everything except for their own responses. Best just to respond to OP and ignore the strangely strung together words of other posters.
@c2 Why was this downvoted? It’s an expression of observation and perception of on the ground in Chevron. This layoff cycle is different and timing/attribution are very suspect. It’s company A does 15%, Company B 20%, Company C…yes COP does 25%…all without underlying or structural issues or a defined event…this time those who stay on can’t be given the your the best, the companies chosen ones…you’ve got more work than before…and limited clarity…and in less then 3 years it’s your turn at the gauntlet…you’ll be out eventually…
@cf totally agree, most people have witnessed in real time the votes changing rapidly. Its obvious the same person. Total piece of sh$t.
@cd Goat herding trolls are illiterate. They are just interested in upvoting their incoherent trash posts while downvoting others. Very shallow optics with no real meaning behind it which is very similar to their posts on this board. Bunch of goat herding trolls who are desperate to be relevant.
Dear posters:
Relay is not the same as rely
Your indicates possession (e.g., your post is laughable)
You’re —>> you are (e.g., you’re a truly bad speller)
Please, for the love of God, learn from your mistakes because you’re really starting to irritate me. Don’t rely on what you think is correct; actually look up the rules of grammar. Don’t get mad; I’m merely relaying an opinion that many on this site share. 🤷🏼♀️😂
I was in round 1 and agree wholeheartedly that this reorg has been awful even for a good chunk of the people who stayed. Some people got put in jobs they didn't want all because the jobs they did want were bundled with jobs they didn't want. Self worth is being dramatically affected as a result of this. Then there are people who feel guilty because others were displaced in favor of themselves, whether founded or unfounded. Then there are dou--e nozzles that claim there was and is too much bloat and exhibit zero empathy for any of the people who were left standing. Then you've got people who are acting like asking questions in your new/different job is somehow inappropriate all while trying to take on the unofficial role of being your "leader" when you're just peers. The whole thing is just awful. The ramifications to the company is something I can't fathom nor do I care to think too much about. What I do know is that Chevron makes money hand over fist and didn't NEED to layoff anyone as the company was still going to be exceedingly profitable without the layoffs. I'm disappointed and I don't think I'm alone on this. I guess my plan forward is to continue saving and investing to retire early while looking for something better both inside chevron and outside chevron.
@b1 You are a truly sorry excuse for a person. If you pause for a moment and think about how I can be here in the comfort of my own home in the US ridiculing some ignorant third world goat herding troll who can't put together a coherent sentence using technology that was conceived and originally built in the US. And then have audacity to knock the US workforce. You're just jealous because we're smarter and more innovatthan you'll ever be. Go back to your goats little troll boy. Just because this website says its users are anonymous doesn't mean we can't find you.
@b1 There's nothing more pathetic than a whining troll like yourself who seems to believe themselves to be superior than those looking to support one another on this board. If you really are that good, then why aren't you working rather trying to stir up trouble on this forum? I have to assume that it's probably because you don't have any useful skills.
@b1 we are all d-mber from reading that absolute steaming pile of unintelligible garbage
Agreed. It is very distracting, disruptive and painful. I am also waiting for next wave of bad news next week. While I know I will not be placed in a job I need to see it to believe it as it’s been dragging on. I’m trying to stay optimistic about life after Chevron as I know I have marketable skills. If you can take at least a few weeks after you terminate to wind down from this nightmare. Once you rest and have a clear head you can look for your new opportunity with a company who will value you. Good luck.
